“Los Científicos” is a spin-off animated series from Un Mundo Sin…, produced by Naisekai and centered around some of the original show’s most beloved characters. With a longer video format and a more narrative-driven structure, the series called for a cinematic approach to sound design, emphasizing atmosphere, pacing, and emotional depth.
From the earliest stages of production, Fungus was responsible for crafting the sonic identity of the series. The team developed immersive soundscapes, dynamic foley, and expressive audio cues that supported the storytelling and elevated the visual experience. The sound design leaned into filmic techniques—layered ambiences, spatial transitions, and character-driven motifs—to match the expanded narrative scope and more dramatic tone of the episodes.
This project marked a shift from the concise, concept-driven structure of Un Mundo Sin… to a more expansive audiovisual language, allowing the sound team to explore cinematic rhythm and emotional nuance in greater depth.
